Frequently Asked Questions
Which mobility battery is right for my scooter or powerchair?
Battery size depends on your product’s requirements. Smaller travel scooters often use the Strident 12Ah 12V Battery, mid-range models typically use 42Ah, and larger scooters often require high-capacity batteries like the Strident 100Ah 12V Battery.
How long do mobility scooter batteries last?
Most mobility batteries last between 12–24 months depending on usage, charging habits and terrain. Heavy daily use or long distances may shorten the lifespan.
What does Ah mean when choosing a mobility battery?
Ah (ampere-hours) indicates battery capacity. Higher Ah batteries provide longer travel range: 12Ah – lightweight/travel scooters, 42Ah – standard mid-size scooters, 100Ah – heavy-duty or long-range models.
Are Strident batteries good for mobility scooters?
Yes. Strident batteries are known for reliability, strong cycle life and consistent power delivery, making them suitable for many mobility scooters and powerchairs.
How far will my scooter travel on a fully charged battery?
Range varies by battery size, model and terrain. Higher-capacity batteries such as 42Ah or 100Ah generally provide significantly longer distance per charge.
How often should I charge my mobility scooter battery?
Ideally, charge your battery after every use. Regular charging helps maintain battery health, prevents deep discharge and prolongs overall lifespan.
