MobiQuip G-Explorer All Terrain Wheelchair

For The Road Ahead
The G Explorer Experience
The all-terrain MQ G-Explorer uses technology from the cycling industry to create a lightweight manual wheelchair that is designed for life without limits. Whether on road, off road or somewhere in-between, enjoy increased freedom and confidence with the G-explorer.
A Wheelchair With A View
Spend less time looking down at the floor and more time taking in your view knowing that the G-explorer can handle most terrains, from cobbled streets and cracked pavements, through to walks in the park, thanks to the 24 inch pneumatic mountain bike style tyres and ergonomic design.
Details For Life
The G-Explorer is equipped with all of those details that just make life a little more enjoyable, such as adjustable armrests to make it easier to sit at a desk or at a table for dinner, flip up and swing out foot rests, calf straps and seat skirts to prevent clothing from touching the wheels.
Feeling Safe & Secure
In addition to the added level of confidence users get from an all-terrain wheelchair, the G-explorer features rear steppers and an anti-tip mechanism to prevent the wheelchair from tipping backwards. This is particularly useful for curbs and small steps, allowing the chair to tilt back as required without gravity taking over. Attendants can use the stepper to help them safely tilt the chair and remain stable themselves.

24 Inch All Terrain TyresOff road or on road, these 24 Inch mountain bike style pneumatic tyres are able to withstand tough terrain and can absorb much of the bumps in the ground unlike solid tyres. The deep tread also makes for a smoother more comfortable ride and because they are filled with air, it makes them much lighter. Designed to tackle uneven terrain such as gravel, cobbles, dirt tracks and grass, they also provide more traction, making it easier and safer on inclines and declines due to the increased level of grip. |
Lightweight All Aluminium FrameDespite its sturdy appearance and feel, the all aluminium frame makes the G-explorer a super lightweight wheelchair. Its lightweight nature makes it easier for the user to self-propel, transport and store. Weighing in at just 12.5kg, this tough grade aluminium is both lightweight and durable enough to take on whatever challenges life throws at it. Suitable for any style, the G-explorer comes with a choice of a black or silver frame. |

Ergonomic DesignThe side frame has been designed with a 4 degree seat angle, providing extra comfort and an ergonomic posture. The backrest angle of the G-Explorer has been adjusted slightly to give the user a more natural seating position, providing superb lumbar support. Additional removable seat and back cushioning also provides an extra level of comfort. Height adjustable push handles are designed to make the attendants experience more comfortable too and can be adjusted to their height, tall or small. |
Compact, Easy Fold SystemA quick release mechanism and compact, lightweight folding frame makes this wheelchair easy to fold and lift into the boot of a car. If you have a spacious boot there is no need to remove the wheels, just simply raise the footplates and a quick release mechanism is engaged by pulling up the seat upholstery which folds the chair up compactly in one easy motion. If you have a slightly smaller boot, simply remove the wheels using the quick release axels and fold the wheelchair down separately. |

How To Measure For The Correct Seat Size
To measure a person to determine which seat size is appropriate you will take their hip measurement. Use a retractable metal tape and measure straight across the body.- Place the person in an upright seated position before taking the measurement.
- Take the measurement at the widest point of their body (for instance if their thighs become bigger than their hips when seated then use this dimension instead).
- Add 1 to 2 inches (2.5 to 5.1 cm) to this measurement to account for slight movements and comfort when the person is sitting in the wheelchair.
- Add an additional 1 inch (2.5 cm) to the measurement to allow for bulky apparel or accessories in winter months.
